Over the last few months, we’ve been busily working away at our plans to accelerate our progress towards the goal of regrowing foreskin through tissue regeneration. You will be pleased to know that we have everything in place and are about to start our first experiments on human tissue, a critical first step before we can move on to human clinical trials. More updates on this will follow soon.
Additionally, we’ve started early negotiations with professional investors, with the ultimate goal of acquiring sufficient funds to form a new for-profit organization. These partnerships will bring our planned foreskin regrowth procedure to our supporters around the world and to the public at large.
In the meantime, we’ve been conducting our biggest outreach effort to date. We’re contacting all of our existing supporters in order to figure out what we do well, what we could do better, and to directly answer any questions that you have.
One of the most frequent questions we receive from supporters is, “When will Foregen’s foreskin regrowth procedure be available?”
The answer largely depends on how quickly we can raise money to fund our research. We want to make regeneration a reality as soon as we can. Our goal at present is to increase our supporter base and raise our donations from just over $5,000 a month to $20,000 a month. This is the amount we need to be able to fund our research on a full-time basis and accelerate our progress. Right now, we’re an all-volunteer team, and we contract out our lab work whenever we have sufficient funds to do so. We spend almost all of our money on research, perhaps maybe more than we should!
You can see a breakdown of our expected monthly overheads on our Become A Supporter section of the website.
We have many supporters who’ve said that they would like to donate but cannot afford to. In response, we have introduced a new $5/month membership option! At this level we would need only 4000 paid supporters to fund our clinical trials full-time.
The thing is, Foregen already has 8,000+ individuals who have registered interest with us!
So with just 50% of our existing network of supporters donating monthly on the lowest tier, which is the cost of a Starbucks latte, we can make regeneration happen in just a few short years, provided that our research efforts pan out as expected.
We all have the power to make a difference collectively by supporting the causes we believe in! Foregen already has the interest we need, now all we need is the support.
As part of my outreach efforts on the social media side of the company, I’ve been answering many questions about the feasibility of our plans to regrow foreskin.
These questions usually some variant of, “How will foreskin regrowth actually work, and how will the procedure be performed?”
We are currently working on our first publishable work now. Once published, this will provide many insights as to how the science and the surgery will work together to create a regenerative therapy for circumcised men. As with any life science company, our work is our biggest asset. Sharing our assets pre-patent would be detrimental to the value of the organization. This could affect the level of investment we’d be able to obtain, and thus be a setback to our ultimate goal.
We want to share our research and procedure with the whole world. In order to do so, we ask for your patience as we lay the necessary groundwork to ensure that Foregen is in the best position possible to serve you, our supporters!
Now that work on our first major milestone in the path towards human clinical trials has started, we look forwards to showcasing our efforts and publishing more information to help inform and educate people on the extraordinary power and versatility of regenerative medicine. This, in turn, will help us gain more credibility and more support and increase the speed with which we are able to offer a natural and complete body to all men harmed by circumcision.
We hope you will continue to support us on this journey in any way you can! Remember, even the smallest act individually can make a world of difference collectively.
Thank you all for your interest and ongoing support!
